GenoPal - A tool for harmonious color palettes

Did you ever want to create a web or product layout and got stuck in the color choosing process? If you can answer this question with ‘yes’ you may wish to have a closer look at GenoPal.

GenoPal with 16-patch layout

GenoPal uses an algorithm that tries to resemble human color perception. You set a start color and how much the generated colors may vary in color and luminosity and that’s it! With one click you generate a new palette or lock single or all colors. Choosing a color to start with is easy with the color picker that works with a little magnifier all over the screen.

After you’ve finished you can save your palette and export it in Adobe, SolidWorks or Rhino format. Colors are presented as HEX, RGB, HSB and CMYK values and it’s made easy to get them into your application. GenoPal even comes as Windows and Mac OS X version with plugins for Adobe Photoshop CS and Adobe InDesign. The palette layout can even be customized to fit your personal needs:

Check out the gallery of what GenoPal users have been doing with it. GenoPal is available as a free 14 day trial version and costs only $24.95. I find this little tool pretty useful as I do not want to spend hours with the color wheel. Instead I like to play with my new pal GenoPal.
